
Graduation Requirements: In order for students to graduate from high school, they must fulfill certain requirements. There are specific courses that students must pass. In addition, they must earn at least 230 credits and pass Algebra 1. To see a list of the courses required for high school graduation, please visit the course directory below.
Course Levels: The classes offered at Thousand Oaks High School, are offered at various levels: standard, college preparatory, honors, and advanced placement. Students who are interested in changing their course level are encouraged to discuss this with their counselor. Students are required to fill out a petition form to move up a level and a level change form to move down a level.
Schedule of Classes: Students are required to take specific classes their freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior year. In grades 9 - 11, the students are required to take six classes. In general, each year long class will earn 10 credits and semester classes 5 credits. Assuming they have passed all of their classes, they will have earned 180 credits, leaving 50 credits for their senior year. Students in this situation have the option of only taking 5 classes their senior year.
